Trip to KL Day 1

The boyfriend was so stressed out with work and I suggested that we should go for a short getaway. Not somewhere far and not somewhere that near, so we settled for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

So just last month, we purchased our air tickets online at AirAsia. I'd always choose to fly AirAsia 'cause they always offer the best lowest price. I certainly don't mind the cramped space and the troublesome check-in processes you have to go through. I mean it's just only a 2 hour flight, so I certainly don't mind. If it's a flight longer than that, maybe I'll choose another carrier.

Our air tickets for two person was only BND$270+, is that considered cheap enough?

Yeah this is only what I packed for the whole trip!

If you're a follower of my instragram, you probably would know what I was up to

As a stateless resident, I would need to get my visa done from the Malaysian Embassy. Unlike Kelvin, he only needs his MyKad (ID). But for me, all should change soon, to a biometric passport which requires nothing everywhere you go! *wide smile*

Trying out the part colour function on my new cam!

Saw this in the flight magazine, Hello Kitty Land!!! *hyperventilates*

Palm oil trees, a common sight once you landed!

Checked into Furama Hotel and there was some problem with our booking. We booked our rooms through Asiarooms.com but there was some problem with it so our booking was not confirmed (we didn't know!). With the promotion that was on Asiarooms, we were supposed to pay RM850 nett for 3 nights stay. Now that our bookings were not confirmed, the receptionist gave us a premier deluxe room, which is also the last room available for us that day at a rate of RM450 per night.

I was a bit unwilling too (so expensive, I can stay in Mariott Miri for 2 nights already!) and was thinking of changing another hotel but I guess Kelvin doesn't want all those troubles in finding another hotel so we settled for that rate. I feel so bad at the same time 'cause he's gonna spend more on our accomodation (not on our budget!). So yeah, shopping budget have to be cut down also!

I love the bathroom that was equipped with rainfall shower head!

Walked to Times Square cause it's just a street off our hotel and first meal we had in KL was.......

Nando's!

Kelvin chose the hot level for his Peri-peri chicken. It was very hot I can't even stand it! RM15.90

Whereas me, I settled for lemon&herb peri-peri chicken. Not so brave! RM15.90

Lemon&Herb chicken wings RM12.90

We then proceeded to do some shopping! Of course, it's my forever favourite!
Colourful shorts from Factory Outlet Store. 2 for RM88, I grabbed them without any hesitation!

Got all 3 for only RM35 each! Steal! I especially like the one above with the laser cutout details, something you see on Forever21 all the time

It was tea time and we grabbed Auntie Anne's Pretzels! This is Kelvin's Eclairs pretzel, his love affair with anything chocolatey! This is super good! RM4.50

My pretzel hotdog! RM5

It was dinner time so we walked to Sg Wang for U-village cause I was craving for some oink oink haha

I ordered their in house Hongkong milk tea and Yin Yang, which is basically tea+coffee. Both are free for refills!

Kim Sha Pork Ribs Rice. Kelvin said the pork ribs are awesome and the best that he had ever tasted. I agree!

Famous baked cheesey pork chop rice. My must have dish when I'm here!

Our total bill was only RM35.95!! I love the cheap food over here!

We then headed back to Times Square for more shopping

And look! I got this in those small kiosk, there were so many designs to choose from! Paul Frank, Spongebob, Baby Milo, you name it! Each sticker are RM20

My revamped phone!

We then went back to our hotel as early as 8.30pm

KL skyline at night. Breathtaking!

We collapsed on the bed very early after a long day of walking. So there goes our day 1! I'll continue and update next time about Day 2! Till then, take care and bye! :D
